Big Three (Vornado's Port Authority tower plans unveiled)

At a public meeting today of the board of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, plans were presented by the Vornado Realty Trust for a 40-story office tower, according to the Observer, which got the scoop. Vornado offered three potential designs, all very striking, not to mention strikingly emblematic of the responsible firms: Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, Pelli Clarke Pelli, and Kohn Pedersen Fox.

It is worth noting that what had once been a lonely corner off Times Square could soon boast three impressive towers, if not more: this new one, which would block the dominant Jersey view of the second, the Times Building across 8th Avenue, and a third, the FXFowle-designed Eleven Times Square. It is becoming quite the architectural hub, especially with 4 Times Square and One Bryant Park just down the block.

The fat, highly anticipated September fall fashion magazines are almost upon us. Can't you just feel their weight in your arms right now? Vogue is taking a risk with its cover girl, Keira Knightley. Knightley last appeared on the June 2007 cover, which was the second-lowest seller of that half of the year, moving just 405,000 copies. Still, that's a lot more than Gwyneth Paltrow's May 2008 cover, which sold just 310,000 copies.

Gorgeous Natalie, who started dating folk singer Devendra in April, flutters her eyelashes and giggles throughout the bizarre video in which she is saved from peril by Devendra's "rebellious beard".

The are subtitles which say things like: “The princess whose golden beauty sang through the soul of heaven waited three full eclipses for her love to return.”

By the end of the film, the Bollywood princess is reincarnated as an octopus.

The mind boggles.

This is not the first time Natalie has busted some grooves on screen.
