Coco Avant Chanel

UNEBUG star Alessandro Nivola has been confirmed as the man who will play a dashing Arthur "Boy" Capel to Audrey Tatou's Coco Chanel in the upcoming big screen biopic, Coco Avant Chanel.
Nivola is reportedly learning French for the role, despite playing one of the few American characters in the film.
Directed by Anne Fontaine, Coco Avant Chanel focuses on Mademoiselle Chanel's early life, before her design house achieved worldwide fame; Capel funded her fashion business in its initial stages, and also influenced her masculine aesthetic. His death in a car accident has been described as the most devastating event in the designer's life.
Speaking to VOGUE.COM recently about the film, which is scheduled for release next year, Tatou said: "I'm very happy with the script because it is about [Chanel's] youth and the elements which tell us what she would become, and why her style is what it is today."

Brad Pitt officially joins ‘Inglorious Bastards’

Over the past week we’ve heard and read quite a lot about the casting of Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming WWII drama “Inglorious Bastards,” and now things slowly seem to be coming together. Well, it’s about time.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Brad Pitt has now officially joined the project. That’s right, Mr. Jolie has signed on to play Lt. Aldo Raine, leader of the Jewish resistance.

Also in negotiations to star in the violent drama is Simon Pegg, who would star as a British lieutenant. Additionally, Tarantino is in talks with Nastassja Kinski for the role of a German actress.

Just a few days ago, “Hostel” director Eli Roth also jumped on board. He will play one of the gang of Nazi hunters.

Matt Damon tries to sweat it off

MATT DAMON is taking the summer off to lose weight.

The Bourne star, who piled on 30lbs for his latest film The Informant, is spending six weeks working out before playing a soldier in war drama Green Zone, which starts filming in September.

“If you put it on, it's easier to get it back off,” he says.

“I'm just boxing. I figure if you get hit enough times, it will fall off.”

The actor, who was voted Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine, also joked “Now I'm the Sexiest Man Alive's chunky cousin.”

After the Green Zone, the A-lister will take the rest of the year off to spend time at home. Wife LUCIANA is expecting her third child, and Matt’s second, in the next few weeks so told USA Today that he wants to ‘hang out with my family.’

Matt will also use the time to promote his new charity, the One X One Foundation, which aims to improve the lives of children around the world.

“I have to make calls,” he explains. “SHERYL CROW is going to play at one of our events.

“It's the easiest call in the world to make. I just tell what the charity is about, and everyone wants to do everything they can.”

Johnny Depp planning to take another chance on 'Don Quixote'

Seven years after abandoning their first attempt, Hollywood heart-throb Johnny Depp and film-maker Terry Gilliam are trying once again to shoot the film The Man Who Killed Don Quixote.

Based on the Cervantes novel, the film stars Pirates of the Caribbean actor Johnny as an advertising executive who travels back in time.

In one of the most incident-prone shoots ever, the original attempt to film the flick suffered a variety of accidents, including the set being washed away by a flash flood and one the lead actors taking ill. After just five days of filming, Monty Python star Terry was forced to pull the plug on the project.
