Marc Jacobs, Married?

The tips began flooding our in-boxes last week that chicette-fave designer Marc Jacobs and his beau of three months, Brazilian advertising executive Lorenzo Martone, planned to be married this weekend in Paris. Then on Friday, Jacobs updated his Facebook status to "Marc Jacobs is very busy." Busy getting married?

It seems like September issues hit newsstands earlier and earlier each year. It’s only July and already we’re being treated to some of the best in fall content. Numero Tokyo showcases the ever chic Anna Maria Jagodzinska in beatnik Gucci on its fall cover while inside it predicts the next round of major modeling stars. Anna makes the list, naturally.

Amy once again rushed to the ER

Grammy-winning singer Amy Winehouse was taken to an emergency room at a London hospital Monday night, her spokesman said.

An ambulance took the singer who lost a lot of weight during the last weeks from her north London home to the emergency room at University College Hospital, spokesman Chris Goodman said. He said he did not know what might be wrong with the 24-year-old singer.

Winehouse's musical success has been overshadowed by her tumultuous private life and public struggles with drugs and alcohol. Her father has said she developed early stage emphysema from smoking cigarettes and crack cocaine.

London Ambulance Service said it was called to an address in north London at 8:40 p.m.

UK GQ September Victoria Secret Issue

Brunette Miranda, 25, leads the pack of Victoria's Secret lovelies at the undies firm's catwalk show in America.

Here she's joined (from left) by leggy pals Alessandra Ambrosio, 26, Marisa Miller, 29, and Izabel Goulart, 22. Clearly no fella would want to keep these girls Secret though.

Peaches Geldof Heroin Overdose

PEACHES Geldof's dramatic 999 collapse was caused by an overdose of HEROIN—the drug that killed her mum Paula Yates, we can reveal.

The off-the-rails teenager is thought to have been experimenting with the deadly drug for the FIRST time.

It is believed she did not inject heroin—one of the most dangerous ways of taking it—but heated and inhaled it through a rolled-up bank note.

Friends feared she was following the same path as tragic TV star Paula, who died in 2000 aged 41.

But Peaches, 19, has told them last Sunday's drama had been a massive wake-up call—and that she is going into rehab.

One pal said: "She was in a terrible state—not able to breathe for several minutes. She took a serious risk with her life and none of us could believe how far she went.

"Even Peaches can't believe what she's done, and wants to put it behind her.
Clean

"She was desperate for her dad Bob not to find out, and she has realised it can't happen again."

Her spokesman Ray Levine refused to comment.

But a source close to the young model and TV producer—who is a known cocaine abuser—said: "Peaches will go into rehab but she won't be a prima donna. She will go in to clean up her act."

Peaches collapsed at a flat in Camden, north London, and was revived by an ambulance crew. In May we revealed how she was seen on video offering £190 to a drug pusher.

But the source said: "She is adamant she won't follow her mother into an early grave."

Naomi in Love

She's notorious for her fiery temper, but yesterday Naomi Campbell put her tender side on show during a romantic cruise with billionaire Russian Vladislav Doronin.

Britney nominated for VMAs

Britney Spears jetted off to Cabo for little R&R with friends, including Vegas hotshot George Maloof this weekend. After officially settling her custody deal with Kevin on Friday, she hopefully left all her worries at home before slipping into her bikini. We saw how great her beach body is looking and what better excuse to show it off! She had something fun to celebrate, too, as expected Britney nabbed a Best Female Video VMA nomination up against Rihanna, Katy Perry, Mariah, and Jordin Sparks. The next set of VMA nominations will be out this Friday so who knows, maybe there will be even more nods coming Brit's way. With the Sept. 7 awards less than six weeks away and British Russell Brand's hosting to look forward to, looks like Miss Spears is already getting a head start on her perfect red-carpet tan. Also sighted a mysterious new man on her sight....

Hollywood’s Full Slate of Movie Franchises Imperiled by Shia LaBeouf’s DUI Arrest

Early yesterday morning, Shia LaBeouf, the favorite young actor of Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, and Michael Bay, was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor drunk driving after his pickup truck hit another car in Los Angeles. LaBeouf, currently in the middle of shooting a follow-up to last summer's Transformers, was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for treatment of injuries to his hand and knee, either of which, if serious (he'll reportedly be sidelined for a month), could make difficult the stunt work in his rumored upcoming trilogy of Indiana Jones spinoffs.
This isn't the first time the star of Disturbia (and its planned sequel) has had trouble with the law; last November, he was arrested for trespassing at a Walgreens in Chicago, where he was filming Eagle Eye with director D.J. Caruso, who's recently expressed an interest in casting the star in films based on Brian K. Vaughan's comic book series Y: The Last Man. LaBeouf was given an August court date and released without bail. If he's found guilty, it's feared Hollywood could be forced to come up with an original idea for once.

McCain’s Latest Attack on Obama Seems Not at All Desperate

Barack Obama's world tour is over, and by most accounts it was pretty successful (Gallup's daily tracking poll shows a nice bounce). But the McCain campaign has found a way to rain on Obama's parade, with a new ad, "Troops," that slams the Democratic nominee for canceling a visit to wounded American soldiers in Germany. Obama had planned to visit the troops at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, but after the Pentagon voiced concern about the appropriateness of bringing a campaign staffer with him, Obama decided the event had become too politicized. In the ad, a narrator says that Obama "made time to go to the gym, but canceled a visit with wounded troops. Seems the Pentagon wouldn't allow him to bring cameras. John McCain is always there for our troops." The ad has been criticized on a number of fronts: While Obama does seem to spend a bizarre amount of time in the gym, he didn't actually go to the gym instead of visiting the troops in Landstuhl. Plus, the ad actually shows a photo of Obama playing basketball with American troops … which would seem to undercut the idea that Obama is too busy to meet with the troops. To some, the ad simply smacks of desperation.

Bündchens West Side pad for sale

Supermodel Gisele Bündchen and quarterback Tom Brady have both re-listed their former Manhattan pads. Ms. Bündchen is now asking $5.9 million for her West Village penthouse, a bit more than half of her original asking price last September. Her boyfriend, the New England Patriots quarterback, wants $18.29 million for his Time Warner Center condominium, roughly 10% more than he asked last year.

‘The Hills’: A Whole Season in a Single Trailer..

As if sensing our fatigue with its omnipresent marquee show, MTV has released a fresh, tear-stained trailer for The Hills designed to convince everyone that its premiere next month heralds a whole new thorny web of intrigue. And we're trying to feel excited, but we've been burned before: Last season devolved into boring retread conversations and anticlimactic three-word confrontations. So pardon our cynicism, but we're fairly sure this teaser — with its taupe love interests, melodramatic one-liners, and ruined mascara — is less a jumping-off point for awesomeness than a souped-up Cliffs Notes reel full of false hope. But to be sure, we ran the trailer through our internal Hills montage-defragging machine to try to interpret the actual path of these "plot twists" — watch for yourselves and see if you agree with our analysis.
