Michael Pybus and Dazed and Confused

Dazed and Confused were asked to collaborate with artist Michael Pybus on a recent project called An Experiment in Collaboration, which will be shown for a month at the Jerwood Gallery. The basis of the project was invite six multi-disciplinary artists to collaborate with a variety of professionals including a forensic psychiatrist, a computer game designer and a biophysicist.

Michael has worked closely with Dazed in the past, showing his work at the Dazed gallery and building sets for specific Dazed projects. He wanted to take his recent work, a series of painted plinths, and move them into a fashion context, so I was put forward as a stylist to represent Dazed in this photographic collaboration.

“Chanel has decided to make the legendary quilted bag the focus of an event on an international scale: MOBILE ART. Just as fashion spreads throughout the world, this traveling event will be presented in Asia, the United States and Europe.”

In a futuristic pavilion created by the architect Zaha Hadid, 20 international contemporary artists will exhibit work inspired by the elements that give the emblematic quilted bag from CHANEL its identity.”

This mobile art piece, a traveling pavilion for art exhibits will be at Central Park’s Rumsey Playfield from October 20th to November 9th. After that, it will set off to tour in London, Moscow and making the last stop in Paris. AMAZING!!!
